I am extremely happy with the result of my squint surgery and would highly recommend Mr Ali. I am an adult who had never experienced any symptoms or even been aware that I had a squint. However, I suddenly developed rapidly worsening vision and persistent double vision due to a decompensated squint. In less than two months, I went from having perfectly straight eyes to having a very noticeable squint in one eye and significant double vision. Receiving this diagnosis and being told that surgery was required was quite daunting initially. Undergoing eye surgery is a significant decision, and I wanted to make sure I chose the right surgeon. I did extensive research and met with several specialists in London before ultimately choosing Mr Ali because of his extensive experience, focus and high volume of adult squint cases, and expertise with adjustable sutures. I genuinely believe I could not have made a better decision. From my first appointment, Mr Ali provided reassurance and his experience, thoroughness, and the way he cares for his patients made me feel that I was in very safe hands. He was always patient and willing to answer my (many) questions, while providing helpful context and explaining things clearly. I had my surgery less than two months after my diagnosis and had an excellent experience throughout, from the pre-operative appointments through to surgery and recovery. The post-operative suture adjustment to fine-tune the alignment was initially a little daunting, but I felt reassured throughout and the whole process went very smoothly. The care I received after surgery was equally excellent. Mr Ali was very responsive, answered my questions promptly, and actively checked in on my recovery. Knowing that I could contact him directly was extremely reassuring. The cosmetic result has been excellent, but most importantly, my double vision has completely disappeared and my vision has improved significantly. Now, a little over two months after surgery, I am extremely happy with both the result and the healing process. I feel that I am seeing at least as well as I did before my problems began, and possibly even better. My depth perception has also improved, and I have realised that some of the limitations I had previously experienced were things I had simply assumed were normal for me. I am very grateful to Mr Ali and his team for their expertise, reassurance, and care throughout the entire process. What initially felt like a very frightening experience turned into a remarkably positive one.

I was understandably apprehensive about getting eye surgery, but Mr Ali really lived up to his incredible reputation. I was referred to him by the Belfast Cathedral Eye Clinic, who spoke very highly of his results. From the beginning, Mr Ali clarified expectations and answered all my questions in detail. His communication skills and humanity are plain to see. The whole process was unbelievably smooth. I wish I hadn’t worried at all! Do yourself a favour and book yourself in for a consultation with him. He has massively improved my vision, and I could not be more grateful!

I recently had surgery at the London Squint Clinic for a squint I had since childhood. From my first consultation to the day of surgery everything was straightforward. Everyone at the clinic was friendly and approachable. I am so pleased with the results and already feel more confident. For anyone having the adjustable sutures with their surgery, this was something I was apprehensive about but Mr Ali put me at ease and I honestly could not feel a thing. Thank you to Mr Ali and his team. I definitely wish I had done it sooner!

I had squint surgery a few weeks ago and could not be happier with the results, it has transformed my life. Initially I was apprehensive at having surgery on my eye but there was absolutely nothing to worry about. Mr Ali explained everything in detail to me and was calm and reassuring every step of the way. I no longer have to worry about all the things I did before such as where I could sit when out with a group so I didn’t have to look to my left. I worried constantly that people noticed my squint and it was affecting my confidence. This surgery has had such a dramatic difference to not only my vision but how I feel and see myself. Everything went so smoothly on the day, I was operated on in the morning and home by mid afternoon. For anyone suffering with a squint please go and see Mr Ali, he is such a kind and caring person. I really can’t thank him enough.

I had double vision that was getting increasingly worse. I have to admit that I was sceptical about what could be achieved and Mr Ali was always honest with me about potential results. The outcome is amazing. After years of increasing prisms (+16) I now manage without. It really has been truly transformative . Wish I’d known about this clinic years ago. Can’t praise them highly enough.
