The outcome is amazing.  After years of increasing prisms (+16) I now manage without.  It really has been truly transformative .  Wish I’d known about this clinic years ago.  Can’t praise them highly enough.

It’s hard to find the words to express how deeply grateful I am to Dr Ali for his skill in curing my severe double vision.  When my problem became bad enough to affect my confidence and restrict my active lifestyle, I researched ‘double vision surgery’ and found the London Squint Clinic.  I checked out Dr Ali’s credentials with a local optician (I live in the North East of England) and was told “if anyone can sort out your double vision, it is Nadeem Ali”.  I then had a couple of video consultations with Dr Ali; initially he wasn’t sure whether he could help me, but after seeing my test results and measurements he decided he could.  He didn’t over-promise however, telling me that he thought he could correct 75% of my problem.  That was enough to encourage me to book the first available surgery date. Because I live 270 miles away I booked myself into the hospital (Spire St Anthony’s) for a post-op overnight stay.  The hospital was lovely and once I had met Dr Ali and the anaesthetist any nervousness disappeared. A few hours after surgery Dr Ali removed my bandage and I was excited to find that I had fantastic single vision!  There was no pain, just an occasional dull ache for the first few days, after which recovery was straightforward. The pre- and post-op zoom calls, and access to Dr Ali on WhatsApp, meant that despite living hundreds of miles away I always felt connected and well cared for.  I understand that I was one of Dr Ali’s more complicated cases, but thanks to his phenomenal skill and years of experience he was able to 95% cure my severe double vision. This man is the best! The results of surgery have far exceeded my expectations and I cannot recommend him highly enough! Pauline Gilbertson

Before deciding to have surgery, I was understandably nervous and uncertain. Eye surgery is not something you take lightly, but any concerns I had quickly disappeared after meeting Dr. Ali and his team. Absolutely amazing service from start to finish! Having had multiple previous surgery from a little child and countless years of trying through the NHS and private for further review with always a negative outcome. I finally took the plunge to contact Dr Ali & team and completely amazed by the results! The customer service, kindness and support I’ve received was second to none and I couldn’t have wished for a better outcome! I honestly don’t know how to write this review without sounding dramatic but I think this is one of those times where dramatic is completely justified. I first booked an appointment with Mr Ali at the London Squint Clinic in May 2025. At that point, I had already lived with eye problems for most of my life. My first eye turn was when I was around 4 years old and since then I feel like I have done the full strabismus bingo card: corrective surgery as a child, glasses, patches, Botox, atropine drops, the lot. Before seeing Mr Ali, I had been told on the NHS that nothing could really be done and that surgery was too risky. I was also honestly told that it was in my head by some doctors and that I needed to focus or I was making it worse than it is. I accepted that for a long time because when you are told something is not possible, you believe it. But knowing the outcome I have had now, I genuinely wish I had explored it sooner. I came to Mr Ali knowing that my case was not simple. He operated in June on one eye, then another operation in September on the other eye. 2 months ago I had my third and final surgery with mr Ali - That might seem a lot but we were cautious of over correction because at this point I was already chuffed with the outcome.  at one point my eyes looked beautifully straight, but I still had double vision when looking to the left. Anything to the left of my central vision was double and It affected so much more than people realise. I couldn’t drive properly with double vision. If I had one eye patched, even if technically I could legally drive, I didn’t feel safe or confident. I would bump the curb and scratch my tyres because my judgement just wasn’t right. I now drive confidently. That alone has changed my life. I can now sit and have a conversation with someone on my left. I can look someone in the eye without having to alternate between which eye has focus. I don’t have to overthink where I am looking or whether the other person can tell. I don’t feel like I am constantly managing my vision and my face at the same time. Before this, I had tried Botox injections and had drooping eyelids. I had a haemorrhage in my eye that lasted over a month. It is exhausting. It makes you want to hide. What I appreciated from the beginning was Mr Ali’s honesty. He never overpromised. He explained things clearly. I always felt informed and respected. I think he understood that I knew things were complicated, and I appreciated his approach of: we will do our absolute best and I knew he meant it. I can honestly say the result has changed my life. Mr Ali’s post-operative care is unlike anything I have experienced before. He is reassuring, calm and goes above and beyond. I am also one of those rare people who seems to be allergic to absolutely everything, especially eye drops, because apparently I like to keep medical professionals on their toes. So thank you for dealing with me being so complicated again on top of it all. The impact has been far bigger than cosmetic. I don’t feel shy in groups now. I don’t hide from photographs, video calls or people looking at me. My confidence at work has improved. I contribute more. I don’t shy away from being on camera or being seen. For anyone who has lived with a squint, double vision, or a misalignment of the eyes in any way you will understand that this is not vanity. It affects how you move through the world. It affects driving, conversations, eye contact, confidence, work, social situations and whether you feel comfortable being noticed. I cannot thank Dr Ali and the team enough! I struggled with my squint from about 8 years old, and it progressively got worse. I was told there was nothing that could be done for me on the NHS and that I would just have to live with it. Then I found Dr Ali, who, from the first video call to 8 weeks post surgery, has been nothing short of amazing. So friendly and comforting, and was able to be contacted whenever I needed. He has given me my confidence back, and I am so grateful! If you are considering this surgery, go for it!

I had been suffering from double vision (Diplopia) and was diagnosed with 4th Cranial Nerve Weakness in  my left eye in November 2024. A prism was fitted to my glasses and although it helped with the centre of my vision, my downward and far right gaze remained badly affected. By September 2025 my mental health started to become badly affected, I was mentally exhausted and my quality of life was seriously declining. I started to research a surgical solution. I initially used an AI app which rated Mr Ali as the best in his field, I did extensive further research, I found zero negatives. There is a very long waiting list for NHS surgery and getting on the list isn't easy. With all due respect to the NHS, I couldn't wait 3 years for an NHS surgeon, I needed help quickly, I needed the best of the best. By January 2026, I felt I could no longer work, I felt I maybe wasn't capable of doing my job anymore and my GP signed me off sick. I was mentally exhausted, basic tasks such as pouring a drink, ironing, and walking down stairs had became difficult. I eventually arranged an appointment for March 2026. Although video consultation was an option, it was important to me to meet Mr Ali in person so I flew to London from Glasgow. I was initially seen by Orthoptist Rhiannon who did my measurements. I could see the genuine belief she had that Mr Ali would be able to help. I had so many questions I wanted to ask, but by the time the consultation with Mr Ali had ended I didn't need to ask anything, he had covered everything I needed to know. I left the consultation with hope that the nightmare of the previous two years could soon come to an end. I had surgery to realign my eyes on April 13th, I flew to London the day before, stayed overnight in the Travelodge which is a 5 minute walk from Gatwick Spire Hospital and went to the hospital at 7AM on the day of the surgery. A couple of hours after I went back to my room, Mr Ali came in and told me exactly what to expect in the coming days, he gave me his number so I could contact him on WhatsApp if I needed to, but everything went exactly as he said it would, although I didn't need to use it, knowing he was there if I needed him was extremely reassuring. Three days after the surgery when I woke up, I noticed that the TV at the bottom of my bed was single in a position I'd normally have seen double, the 24/7 awareness of the condition in my peripheral vision had completely gone. As the days went on it felt like my central vision had gone from standard definition to 8KHD, this was a huge bonus which I hadn't expected. It is not a painful operation, the following days there's a slight ache and the stitches feel like there is a bit of grit under the eye, it is a very minor irritation, there is a regime of antibiotic eye drops and steroid eye drops, two weeks after the operation there is very little visible evidence that you've even had surgery at all. I'm only on day 25 and the result has already way surpassed my expectations and is most likely to continue to improve. If I had to put a figure on it I would say there is in excess of a 90% improvement in my vision, my functional field of vision is now better than I could have hoped, there is zero double vision, it feels like I imagine the result of laser eye surgery would feel, the blurriness has completely gone, I can now read small print on things like food instructions without glasses (which I previously needed to use my phone to magnify) and was able to return to work a week after surgery. I can see better now without glasses than I could wearing them before surgery. I will be eternally grateful to everyone at London Squint Clinic, and most of all to Mr Ali for the difference this has made to my life. If you are considering making an appointment I strongly recommend doing so. Private surgery is obviously expensive, but you couldn't put a monetary figure on the difference this has already made to my life in such a short period of time. I can now look forward to the future instead of dreading it

My 16 year old son, Kris, recently had surgery to correct a squint in both eyes, and the whole experience was handled with great professionalism and kindness. From start to finish I was looked after tremendously. After having a squint left over from childhood, it really began to bother me in my adulthood, to the point that I decided to have surgery. I did over 6 months of researching I decided to have my surgery with Dr Ali, which I’m so pleased that I did. My appointments were so convenient and no waiting for months on end, I was booked in for surgery 3 weeks after my initial appointment. The surgery went well and I was thoroughly looked after, I had no pain and my recovery was very easy, at 9 weeks post op I am so pleased with my results! A small amount of redness left and I am on my way to enjoying my life without the constant paranoia around my eye alignment or avoiding eye contact. Thankyou Dr Ali.

The BEST decision! Having one's eye operated on is a huge undertaking, anything could happen. After some research I decided to go for the best. Sure enough it was. From start to finish, easy, well looked after, operation went smoothly, after op care addressed all my concerns in a calm and professionnal way. I had even been told that one of my eye muscles couldn’t be operated on, which left me feeling quite discouraged about my options. After suffering with double vision for several years and forever changing prescription for prism glasses, I decided to do some research into alternative solutions. After many hours of googling I came across the London Squint Clinic and decided to take the plunge and contact the clinic with a view to making an initial appointment to assess my vision, I booked an appointment to see doctor Ali at his London office, and from the get go he made me feel comfortable and confident that my vision could be corrected. Just a few short weeks after the initial appointment it was off to Gatwick Spire Hospital for the corrective surgery, nervous obviously but feeling hopeful at the same time. One hour in the theatre, back in my room resting before Doctor Ali came by to make fine adjustments, well here we are two weeks later and enjoying single vision for the first time in years, my only regret is I wish I’d have done this sooner, Doctor Ali is a highly skilled specialist and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone. If your a double vision sufferer you know how awful it is, don’t wait for years like I did, do it sooner its life changing.

I’ve received two eye surgeries from Dr Ali, and I can honestly say it has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. So a little bit about me and my need for surgery in the first place, in October 2021 at 26 years of age I had finished work and on my way home but I fell asleep at the wheel and ended up having a single vehicle crash which resulted in me having a brain injury, speech difficulties and double vision. I’ve had four surgeries in total with the first one being mildly successful 04/04/2023 I had some single vision on my upper gaze which meant I adopted quite a lot of head tilt which wasn’t ideal as I had broken my neck in the crash. By the time my eye had totally healed 3-4 months had passed and he had retired so I was placed under the care of a different surgeon. He decided that I would need further surgery to help with the upper gaze being more central which I agreed to as I was keen to continue to make progress. My second surgery was on 09/10/2024, it was unsuccessful in actual fact it was worse than before even the first surgery which I struggled to deal with but at my 2 week post surgery appointment he could see how unsuccessful it was and put me back on the surgery list and I was expecting an appointment for February- March 2025 time I then get a phone call from booking in March and said “we can only see 6 months of appointments and your not on there did you still need/want your appointment if you do we can’t tell you when it will be” and I was just so low and frustrated at this point I had enough so I looked up top squint surgeons in the uk and that’s how I found Dr Ali I have not looked back ever since. The results have been nothing short of amazing. The improvement in my vision has not only been noticeable but genuinely transformative in my day-to-day life. Before his intervention I would be anxious going out in public because my double vision played a massive part in my balance and it was just unbearable. I can’t quite put into words how much this man has helped me and improved my quality of life. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. This surgery has given me a new level of freedom and confidence, and I would highly recommend it to anyone on the fence about having it.

I cannot thank Mr Ali enough. Having had squint surgery when I was 6, then 18 and it never really getting fixed, going in to my 3rd surgery at 30, and choosing Mr Ali and The London Squint Clinic I could not be happier. I had my first squint operation at 8 years old. It was pretty successful.  I am 70 now and had noticed over the last 15 years my squint had gradually returned and I’d become increasingly self-conscious about it.  I still work as a doctor myself and this affected me personally and professionally.  I researched repeat squint operations for quite a few years and kept putting it off.  If I had it done, I wanted the best person to do it as it was clear that the skill and experience of the surgeon was extremely important for the outcome.  So I chose Mr Ali.  I made my first video appointment in November 2025 and had the operation (bilateral) in January 2026.  I am absolutely delighted with the results  and no longer have a noticeable squint.  The whole process was made easy.  I was so impressed by Mr Ali’s personal aftercare by WhatsApp which was extremely reassuring during the healing process.  I would thoroughly recommend Mr Ali for anyone considering squint surgery, particularly if for revision of a previous operation.

My experience with Mr Ali at the London Squint Clinic can only be described as miraculous.  I had suffered from double vision for about 5 years and I was needing increasingly strong prisms to correct it.  Now, 8 weeks after the operation I can see clearly with no double vision and it has changed my life.  Mr Ali is simply the best.  If it feels like a big deal to have eye surgery (and it did to me initially) Mr Ali will allay any fears.  He is incredibly skilled, knowledgeable and reassuring.  From the moment I woke up from the operation I could see clearly with barely any visible signs that I had been operated on.  8 weeks on and my eyes look totally normal, but more importantly I can see. I cannot thank Mr Ali and his wonderful team at the hospital enough.  I wish I had done it years ago.

I have had two previous failed surgeries with the NHS from over correction to under correction and I would urge anyone in that position not to be discouraged or assume they won’t get the results they want from Dr Ali. I had been thinking about having the surgery done for a few years and kept putting off booking an appointment as I was under the impression that I wouldn't be able to have surgery again after previous surgeries on my eye when I was younger. When I met with Dr Ali and his team, I was put at ease and was told that I would be able to go ahead with the surgery. In the lead up to the surgery and asking for another online consultation with Dr Ali, I expressed my nervousness for the surgery and the possible outcome. I was quite focused on the possible (very minimal) side effects but Dr Ali really did put me at ease, explained everything clearly and helped to change my mindset. Nothing we do in life is without risks but he reassured me that I am in the best hands and will be taken care of. After speaking through my concerns and having a few more questions answered, I felt much better and on the day of the surgery I felt calm and prepared. Since the surgery I have had two online appointments to check the progress of my recovery and another time, a phone conversation with Dr Ali after I experienced a bit of discomfort a few weeks after the surgery which he helped me with. For years I was sitting on the fence about getting the surgery done, my life was fine living with a “lazy” eye and I had tried to convince myself that it wasn't that bad and that it didn't affect my everyday life that much. It's scary to take the jump and change things but I am so happy that I went ahead with it. I knew I would end up saying it - but I can't believe I didn't get it done sooner!!!!!! I have a renewed sense of confidence and can finally make eye contact with strangers without feeling awkward or shy. It really has changed my life going forward and I'm so so pleased with the outcome and the whole process. Thank you so much for everything Dr Ali and team!!

I had a squint in my eye for over 15 years and it significantly impacted my confidence throughout the years. Furthermore, it was a reminder of a difficult time with my health. What Mr Ali has done for me is completely life changing, and I will forever be grateful. Due to my health, I’ve had a lot of surgeries in the past. I’d lived with diplopia for over 4 years when I was referred to the London Squint Clinic and Dr Nadeem Ali. An online consultation was arranged by Julie, the clinic’s patient care coordinator, within a few days. I had never done anything like that before, didn’t know what to expect and naturally was a little bit nervous. I needn’t have worried. Dr Ali was absolutely lovely and reassuring and made me feel confident that my problem could be finally fixed. I didn’t have to wait long for the operation and was being kept well informed and reassured throughout the whole preparation process. The operation went well, I fell asleep seeing double and woke up with both eyes perfectly aligned. Dr Ali checked on me shortly after the operation and explained the healing process. It was the kind of support and reassurance I didn’t realise I needed. It’s been two months since the surgery, and my eye is healing nicely. To say it’s changed my life would be an understatement, as cliché as it sounds. I’m eternally grateful to Dr Ali for his professionalism, patience and kindness throughout the whole process. Would also like to thank Julie who was incredibly attentive and understanding, and everyone at the Gatwick Spire Hospital. Everything was organised to perfection. I would do it again in a heartbeat. The only regret I have is that I haven’t done it sooner.

I cannot recommend the London Squint Clinic highly enough. What a difference it makes when you find a consultant who knows what they are doing! It has been a long journey for me ... I suffered from a detached retina just after I retired. Apparently, it is a simple operation to fix as long as it is done quickly enough. After  many delays and  seven operations by the NHS over 4 years I was told my retina was repaired but was left with double vision and an eye that had been lasered so much I could barely read.  The retina consultant suggested I see an opthalmologist so I could be fitted with special glasses (prisms).  These were pointless as the buckle used to fix the retina had pulled my eyeball outwards and rotated it. Prisms cannot fix a rotation and it took some time for me to convince the NHS that there was a problem. The NHS eventually gave  up on me and the only solution they could suggest was to put some tape over one of the lenses in my glasses or wear an eye patch. I tried another consultant who said he would try to fix the diplopia with an operation (this would be the 8th). He operated on my good eye, thinking he could get it to line up with the buckled eye. No such luck, I still had rotated vision (about 14º). I was then sent back to the opthalmologist for more prisms. A complete waste of time. The NHS now abandoned me. They said they could not fix the problem. My wife, getting tired of  driving me thousands of miles to hospital appointments over 4 years, searched the internet for a diplopia consultant. She found the London Squint Clinic and Mr Nadeem Ali. It was  a long way from North Wales but the London Squint Clinic quickly arranged a video call so I could discuss my situation. Mr Ali knew exactly what had happened and  immediately understood that an eye rotation could not be fixed with prisms and explained how it could be fixed with an operation. I was sceptical at first, especially as I had already been through a failed operation with  another consultant.  Mr Ali assured me it could be done. He also gave me technical explanations as to why it could be done. I took the chance. The London Squint Clinic with support from Spire Healthcare were super efficient and arranged the measurements and  an operation within a month! I chose to have the  operation done at the Spire St Anthony's Hospital, Sutton, Surrey - easy to get to and you can park outside! The staff and hospital were amazing. The surgery was over within a morning. Not only did the operation fix the rotation, they also adjusted the buckle so that it was no longer painful when I moved my eye. I am now having great success seeing a fused image again. I no longer have pain in my eye and am training my somewhat lazy eye to work properly again.  It is early days yet but I am very close to being able to see normally. What a blessing.  My balance has also improved and I no longer fall over due to the 14º tilt. Mr Ali and the London Squint Clinic have changed my life in that I can now enjoy my retirement. If you have squint (strabismus) problems and have been told there is no fix, don't hesitate, go to the London Squint Clinic and speak to Mr Ali. He is sympathetic and very easy to talk to.

I cannot recommend London Squint Clinic highly enough. Having a squint was my deepest insecurity and something that affected my confidence every single day. After my squint correction operation, my eyes are now straight and for the first time in my life I feel comfortable looking people in the eye. The confidence this has given me is priceless. From the very beginning, everything was explained clearly. The entire team were lovely and I felt genuinely cared for throughout. Mr Ali is a true master of his craft and I had complete confidence in him going into the operation. On the day of surgery I was looked after exceptionally well. The day shift nurse was wonderful, checking in on me regularly to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. The food was delicious and there was no shortage of cups of tea while I recovered. Any discomfort afterwards was minor and I slept well that night. The aftercare has been just as impressive. Mr Ali provided his WhatsApp number and encouraged me to message him with any questions. Every time I did, I received a prompt and reassuring reply, which shows how much he genuinely puts patients first. It is clear that Mr Ali has built an outstanding team who all share the same patient first mindset. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner! Without a doubt the best money I have ever spent. What can I say? No words can sum up the gratefulness I feel for Dr Ali. From our first meeting, he was the only doctor I have ever seen who actually sat and listened, I didn't feel rushed and I felt truly listened to and supported. This drawn out process of over 20 years of struggle with the NHS almost feels like it's all been resolved in a matter of weeks, and I only have Dr Ali and his team to thank for that. Thank goodness they were recommended to me! This past year in particular has been devastating for me, my symptoms went from bad to worse, causing multiple significant falls which have resulted in A&E visits, lack of confidence, hiding my face and most upsettingly, avoiding any photos with my toddler. I'd constantly think, he's going to grow up with no photos of his mum; but now, I'm making up for lost time. The support team were extremely responsive and supportive. The initial call with Dr Ali was thorough and reassuring. Initially I was having a head and heart battle - Do I spend money I don't actually have to fix my eye... Or do I wait and wait and wait, expecting continuous mess ups time and time again to get it for free... But it's free right? (I understand this may sound unfair, I recognise the pressures professionals are facing, but it's a true reflection of my experience) I'd also been told that a fix is not possible, and if it were to be tried, they were not confident it would work... Dr Ali straight away assured me he was confident he could help. I was genuinely flabbergasted and hopeful for the first time 😂 In the end, it was almost a no brainer to go with someone who has given me so much reassurance and was clearly highly regarded after hearing multiple praises from other individuals in his field. And in all honesty, it's been priceless. I have my life back. My son has a mum. My husband has a wife. I can continue with all my hobbies again. I can be social again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Even post op, Dr Ali has been there for me. Answering my WhatsApp messages and being supportive in follow up calls. And above all else, he's a lovely man! I'll forever be grateful.

After having had a bad squint for my whole life I was amazed to find that this kind of surgery was available. Mr Ali and his team were fantastic and the surgery was booked in around 4 weeks after my initial consultation. I’m now 8 weeks post surgery and everything has settled down as Mr Ali said it would. I’m really happy with the results. My squint has been reduced by about 85% and basically isn’t noticeable to anyone now. Why didn’t I get it done sooner?

I required eye correction as I could no longer get glasses made with enough prism. NHS for the treatment was a no go so looked into private. Found the London Squint Clinic on line, and all I can say is they are superb. From keeping in touch and clear updates and information as required. Appointments were quick and readily available and Mr Ali was calming, reassuring and excellent throughout the whole experience, from the 1st assessment to the operation and follow up appointments. Big 5 stars to Mr Ali and his team. Also to the hospital team where the procedure was carried out.

A five star experience from start to finish. I was naturally anxious about the operation to correct my double vision. However, Mr Ali and his team were extremely reassuring and professional right from the initial enquiry stage through to the 8 week sign off. I cannot praise Mr Ali enough. I have no other experience with which to compare my operation, however I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Ali. He is an extremely caring and gentle man, but above all his skill, expertise and precision meant that my operation was successful with very few post operation symptoms. Post operation care was readily available and it was made very clear that Mr Ali was available if I had any worries. For me, the whole experience has been worth every penny. Mr Ali was a fantastic choice for my squint surgery. My squint came on very suddenly and my situation was complicated. He was incredibly supportive, rigorous and thorough in his care both pre and post surgery. He made me feel safe and in control of a situation that was making me feel quite lost. He has managed to straighten out the alignment of my eyes so that it's 100% natural again and the accompanying double vision has disappeared. His expertise was evident throughout, and I felt completely confident in his care. Before the operation, I also had a thorough orthoptist assessment which helped me understand exactly what was happening and what the surgery could achieve. The whole team were reassuring, knowledgeable and kind throughout. My surgery was carried out by Mr Ali at the Spire Hospital Gatwick, and the care there was excellent. Every stage was handled with incredible skill, kindness, and attention to detail. Straightaway after surgery, I experienced single vision for the first time in many years, and the improvement has been truly life-changing. I am now nearly four weeks post-op. I had been expecting some pain and discomfort as my eye recovered, but can honestly say it has been minimal, I have not even required any pain relief. I cannot say enough positive things about Mr. Ali. From my first consultation for double vision, I felt confident I had found a surgeon who was not only highly skilled, but also compassionate. I’ve had a squint since childhood, and while friends and family would often say it was barely noticeable, It was there and I could see it. It deeply affected me socially and personally, especially in recent years. I suffered from strabismus from when I was a baby, I had a successful operation but fast forward 20 years, it had returned. This review is for the people that have been told by doctors that they can't be operated on and have lost hope, safe to say you're not alone as I was in these shoes due to double vision concerns. I had an consolations with Mr. Ali and long story short, he said it was possible to have an operation and he told me he wanted me to leave London knowing my eyes are the straightest they can be. I was thrilled, and I decided to go along with the operation and due to my previous interaction with the team, I was in full confidence. Three months after the operation, no double vision, coupled with a 85% correction and strabismus which is now hardly noticeable, I can say Mr Ali fulfilled his promise and he and his team did the best they can. I can not thank Mr Ali, Rhiannon, Julie and all the rest of the team enough, very professional, honest, thoughtful, thorough and have a plethora of experience. I wish I found them sooner. So for whoever is wanting to make a change, I urge you to meet this lovely team of people, you'll quickly realise you are in competent hands.

Like many of Dr Ali’s patients, I’ve had a weak lazy eye resulting in a squint, since early childhood. After 2 failed NHS operations, I’d resided to the fact that nothing further could be done. Further surgery was never suggested by my option. Glasses and contact lenses helped cosmetically for a while but over the years my squint became noticeably worse and I had double vision. I felt embarrassed and avoided having my photo taken. I did lots of research and found Dr Ali and The London Squint Clinic. The reviews were fantastic and encouraging as are his credentials (please take a look on the website!). Dr Ali’s success rates were the best I had come across. I had hope! I bit the bullet and had a detailed and thorough consultation with Dr Ali in which he said could help me. I felt so comfortable and confident in Dr Ali that within 3 weeks of my consultation I’d travelled miles across the country to St Anthony’s in Sutton (from Yorkshire) and had a very successful surgery. Recovery has been smooth and I’m now 2 months post surgery with straight eyes and no double vision. Something I never thought possible. I cannot recommend Dr Ali and his team highly enough. The Hospital was spotless, everything ran like clockwork on the day of surgery and all the staff (including the amazing Julie who booked all my appointments and recommended hotels to stay the evening before surgery etc ) were professional and welcoming. The aftercare and follow ups post op were in place and I had the reassurance that I could contact Dr Ali at any time if I had any queries. Dr Ali really is one of a kind. A kind, humble, compassionate man (please read about his charity work on the website, it’s impressive!), whose expertise in squint and double vision surgery excels above the rest. If you’re considering this surgery, please don’t hesitate and book a consultation, I just wish I had found him sooner!

My treatment from start to finish was excellent, I was absolutely terrified to have surgery as you only have one pair of eyes,  But the  double vision was stopping me driving and really impacting on my life. I will be forever grateful to Dr Ali and his team for transforming my life and the lives of those around me. For a period of three years my double vision was getting progressively worse, and for the year before my surgery I had become a prisoner of my own eyes. I am 41, in fantastic health, super fit, with no other issues - yet my vision ruled my life. I  had good days and bad days and on the bad ones, life would stop. I cancelled meetings, cancelled trips and some days couldn’t even drive. Once, I had to abandon my car on the M4 with my children inside and wait for someone to collect us, because I felt too unsafe to continue. In trying to find answers, I went everywhere - countless opticians, a specialist hospital eye clinic, a motility clinic, brain scans, eye therapy, endless prescription changes. Each time I had a glimmer of hope, but nothing lasted. Even getting a prescription with 6 prism units felt like a battle. At one point I began to wonder if it was all in my head. Then, one evening in deep despair, I was surfing the internet again trying to find answers and that’s when I came across Dr Ali for the first time. She quickly discovered that my glasses had 6 units when I actually needed 24. For the first time, I had an answer and with it, such an enormous sense of relief. From there, I met Dr Ali and his exceptional team. The surgery they performed didn’t just restore my sight - it gave me my freedom back. They’ve transformed my life and in turn, the lives of those around me. There simply aren’t enough stars to rate the care, skill, and compassion I received. Mr Ali is an amazing surgeon who has given me straight eyes at the age of 54, in fact I'm still processing that they are straight. I was born with Strabismus in both eyes (both turned in). I had 4 operations under the age of 4yrs (2 on each eye) with 2 more operations aged 16 and 28 and also a botox injection. I had so much surgery, yet still my left eye drifted out. I was told that the NHS couldn't really do much more for me. For years I lived with my drifting eye, and tried to hide it as much as possible (like not giving much eye contact). As I got older, I felt that it was getting worse, so one day I did some research online and came across the London Squint Clinic and Mr Ali. I was quite confident and excited that he could help me. We had a video call and he informed me that I could have surgery. The goal was to improve the alignment of my eyes, he told me because I had undergone so much previous surgery that there would probably be a lot of scarring, therefore they may never be 100% straight, but there would definitely be an improvement. I had my surgery on 26/06/25 and am now 9 weeks post op, and all I can say is 'Wow!' I have excellent alignment and am healing well. I can't recommend Mr Ali enough, not only a highly skilled surgeon, but a REALLY nice guy too! I'm so grateful for what he has done for me. Karen R

There are not enough superlatives to describe the outstanding treatment for squint surgery I recently received from Mr Ali and his team at the London Squint Clinic. From first contact by telephone with Orthopist Rhiannon, consultation with Mr Ali, communication with Julie, and clinical care by the surgical and nursing team at the hospital, everything has proceeded so smoothly I now wonder why I had any worries or doubts to begin with. This did affect my confidence and self-esteem. In all this time, no optician, specialist or doctor had even hinted that squint surgery was even a thing, let alone a possibility to explore. So, finally after all this time, I did my own research and booked online. I would really like to thank Orthopist Rhiannon for that initial phone call after booking online. So important Rhiannon was able to address the questions that had been holding me back, especially about post-operative double vision complications. Without knowledge of the testing for the risk of this during the consultation, it’s possible I may not have proceeded to see Mr Ali at all. Mr Ali comes across immediately as personable and approachable. I had two main questions – could anything be done for my squint, and if so, should I go ahead with surgery? Mr Ali’s kind, friendly, and understanding behaviour allowed us to have an honest, frank and personally connected conversation about my squint. What was unique for me was his empathy and understanding of living with a squint from my point of view. His confidence that surgery was possible and the right option for me was convincing. After such an honest and optimistic consultation, I decided Mr Ali would be the only person I would trust. After taking a few weeks to decide (which is quick for me) I booked in for squint surgery. The surgery and care at Spire St Anthony's Hospital was brilliant with friendly and professional care throughout the day. An early start to the day, Mr Ali and his surgical team put me at ease and the day went by quickly. Now, 7 weeks after surgery, I’ve had a pretty smooth recovery and what looks like a great outcome so far. Post operative eye drops for infection have worked. Redness is clearing up. Just a little dryness in the eye controlled with eye drops. Looking forward to my second video post-op consultation with Mr Ali next week. Hopefully I get the all-clear. I now have two eyes that look back at me in the mirror from the same positions. Joyful. Almost don’t recognise myself. It is not possible to be happier with Mr Ali and his team. I recommend the London Squint Clinic to anyone certain they want the best treatment. But more importantly, I recommend them to anyone, such as I was, who is reluctant to proceed or anxious about undertaking such personal surgery. Please go for it. 5+ stars !!!

A few months ago, I came across Dr. Ali online and decided to reach out. Having suffered from double vision and a squint for many years, I finally decided to take the plunge and have squint surgery. The over stimulation from the constant double vision was resulting in constant headaches. I was so conscious of my eyes that over time, I stopped looking people in the eye as I was talking to them. The reviews were extremely positive, and Dr Ali’s medical credentials were first class. The whole experience from my initial contact to my 1st consultation and ultimately surgery was very positive. Dr Ali, listened to my concerns, was very clear about the procedure and potential risk (as with any medical procedure). He was informative, knowledgeable and filled me with confidence. From the initial consultation to the surgery was about 4 weeks. Surgery was carried out at St Anthony’s Hospital in Cheam (South London) and again the care provided at the hospital was excellent. I felt really at ease and well looked after. The surgery went very well and after so many years, my squint has completely gone and not a single instance of double vision has occurred. It was exactly the result I was after. If you want the best possible care, service and to be in the care of one of the most qualified and skilful squint surgeons, then I highly recommend Dr Ali and the London Squint Clinic. What would have normally been a highly stressful experience was turned into something very positive. I highly recommend the London Squint Clinic and the first class service it provided from the initial consultation to post operative care. My squint surgery was 100% successful, with no bruising, no swelling, no pain . It is no exaggeration to say that the surgery was life changing for me! Prior to the surgery, for four years since the onset of double vision, I had been attending Moorfields Eye Clinic who provided me with prisms for glasses. I found using prism lenses frustrating for many reasons but Moorfields did not consider my condition serious enough to warrant surgery and advised against it. After years of being told by opticians that I couldn’t have surgery to correct my lazy eye as I didn’t have double vision, loss of confidence and low self-esteem, I decided I needed to see for myself. That’s when I came across Dr Ali. I read all I could about the surgery, the reviews from other people who had the surgery and was finally hopeful that my life could change. I went for my initial assessment and I was so nervous but everyone I came into contact with that day including Mr Ali, were kind, compassionate and listened to my concerns. I was never made to feel silly for asking question after question. At the end of the assessment I was able to book my surgery straight away. At my pre op assessment the staff were kind and a really easy appointment. The surgery day came around so fast and I was both scared having never had a surgery before and excited for my life to change for the better. The hospital was great, had my own private room, it was clean. All the hospital staff were kind. Dr Ali came into see me and helped reassure me and explain the surgery again to me. He answered questions I had and made me feel more relaxed. After surgery, with the further adjustment he was great. If you are nervous, Dr Ali is someone you need to see, he has a very calming aura and I felt safe. I had two follow up appointments with him, each time he was kind, interested and a pleasure to talk to. If you are reading this and been told no or want to have this surgery but worried, you need to book with Dr Ali, there is a reason people come from all over the world to see him, I travelled to see. In my opinion when you see 100% positive reviews in a business, the reviews are suspected to be arranged by the site admin. But now I have to make exception to my own theory. If somebody suffers by double vision, any positive changes even the samallest one could bring better life for him or her. When you read other reviews you can find the significant improvement in all patients' life. All stories are mostly the same. The horrible life with diplopia, unsuccessfull previous squint surgery, compulsion to adjust personal life with diplopia, uncertainty to have another surgery and finally trust in Mr Ali to continue treatment with another squint surgery. Let’s read my story, after an accident I had double vision for nearly 4 years. I had squint surgery in my home country and its result was good only for 15 days. On the 16th day after that surgery everything went back to pre surgery condition. For almost 18 months the only thing that I can do was waiting. Every season I visited the doctor but there wasn't any improvement about double vision and finally I was told no more surgery is suggested and it's better to accept diplopia and adopt it for life. At the start of 2024, I decided to continue treatment in the UK and tried to book appointments in couple of hospitals. In that period I got an advice, a link was sent to me which refers me to London Squint Clinic and I was told ONLY continue treatment with Mr Ali. I met Mr Ali in March 2024 and got treatment plan with 2 surgeries to bring single vision to almost 60 percent of vision area. First surgery took place middle of March 2024 and the second one was on 06/03/2025. Result? The day after surgery I had single vision for almost 80% of vision area and after 3 years I celebrated the Persian new year in 20th March with single vision. I feel contiued improvement till now. 2 month after surgery in almost 100% of far view there is only one image. But for reading books and look in to mobile phone the situation is about 50-60%. I appreciate  Mr Muen  for introducing Mr Ali as a trusted squint surgeon. Also I have to declare especial thanks to Mr ALI because he brought me back to amazing single vision world.

I had experienced double vision for over 30 years. I was unable to get surgery on the NHS. I contacted London squint clinic and met Dr Ali and he shared that he could fix my double vision. I had squint surgery and my double vision has gone. I can now where glasses without prism. Squint Surgery Review – Cheryl Walker I first heard about adult squint surgery after having laser treatment for glaucoma at the beginning of last year. At my age (76) I didn’t think that further surgery was possible.  I had had squint correction surgery on both eyes as a child, which had not been wholly successful. I had always tried to hide my squint behind my glasses and makeup.  The worst thing of all, for me, was when speaking to people, they used to look over their shoulder to see who I was speaking to. I found the London Squint Clinic and Dr. Ali.  I contacted the clinic and had my first video consultation with Dr. Ali who assured me that he could help me. With that assurance I attended the St. Anthony’s clinic in February 2025 for surgery.  After meeting the team it was decided that bilateral surgery was the best option. All the staff and the medical teams were very helpful and professional and my nerves relaxed.  After a couple of hours I was back in my room recovering. The medications to be applied to my eyes post-op were a major feature of the recovery phase. After 8 weeks my squint has been irradicated.  I still have slight soreness, and a sticky discharge that requires careful cleaning at various times during the day, but I am reassured that these symptoms will gradually ease. Overall, I can unreservedly recommend Dr Ali and his team, and I am very pleased that I have had these procedures.

Well, I don’t know where to start. Dr. Ali has truly changed my life... Approximately 5 years ago I experienced sudden onset double vision out of the blue. I was provided with stick on fresnel prisms by the NHS but unfortunately over time the double vision kept getting worse and the strength of the prisms kept increasing.  I had been researching surgery for a while and that’s when I came across the London Squint Clinic - I was so apprehensive about the surgery but I needn’t of worried. Dr. Ali made the whole experience from start to finish an absolute breeze. Apart from obviously being one of the best in his field he is just a genuinely nice person who you can tell cares about all of his patients. No question was too big or small, he and the team were very responsive and I always felt at ease all the way along the journey. The hospital and staff were also great and made me feel completely at ease and relaxed on the day. In the evening on the day of the surgery I took my patch off and I had single vision for the first time in 5 years. It was amazing (I’m still in a little bit of disbelief)! I really didn’t quite realise the impact the double vision was having on all aspects of my life until I could see clearly again.I finally have my life and my confidence back and for that I am forever grateful. Mr Ali has been exceptional throughout the medical journey with him. His professionalism and knowledge around his clinical field inspired confidence, matched only by his dedication and genuine desire to help. He was recommended to me by another ophthalmologist in London. In this complicated neuro-ophthalmology issue, he displayed great expertise and is one of very few specialists worldwide who can consult with authority on this. His advice was timely, evidence-based, practical and speaks of his experience in an often complex sub-specialty. I wouldn’t hesitate at all to recommend to friends and family this doctor, who communicates to you not just as a patient, but also as a human.

I developed double vision out of the blue around 5 years ago. This progressed to the point that it could no longer be corrected by Fresnel prisms, and while I was placed on an urgent NHS waiting list for strabismus surgery, no one could give me a definitive date or any guarantee that the surgery would work. The double vision caused constant eye strain and headaches and made my teaching and preaching work very difficult, as well as curtailing driving. I contacted the London Squint Clinic for a consultation in December 2024, and was very relieved when Mr. Ali said he was 90% sure he could correct my vision. Amazingly, I was able to have the surgery within a few days of my consultation, and the clinic and hospital staff were very accommodating. Living in Belfast, I was a bit nervous about aftercare, but the online review appointments worked fine, and while everything in fact went very smoothly, it was reassuring to know that the clinic was only an email or phone call away. Life is now so much easier and I can thoroughly recommend the London Squint Clinic. .

My experience with Mr. Nadeem Ali was first rate. I arrived at the clinic 30 minutes early and was seen before my due time. The appointment was very thorough and impressive, professional throughout. The aftercare has been exceptional. Always available, via WhatsApp (!) and speedy comms. I have seen ten consultants privately for my condition - none have matched Mr. Nadeem Ali in terms of professionalism.

I really can't find the words, to adequately, thank, Mr Ali. The surgery he performed on me, truly changed my life. After being left, with double vision, for two years, after a carastrophic motorcycle accident. I saw numerous doctors, none of whom, gave me any hope, of ever, regaining normal vision. Insread, I was told to go to an optician, and get prescription, prism lenses, which I would have to wear, at all times, for the rest of my life. I couldn't accept this, and after much online research, I found Mr Ali. After an initial consultation, he said he was willing to perform the surgery, to correct the double vision. The result was immediate. I went into the clinic wearing glasses, but haven't worn them since. Not only is Mr Ali an amazingly gifted surgeon, he is one of the most generous, warm, helpful and, just simply lovely, people, I have ever met. I will be forever grateful
